Clinical Supervision and Professional consultation |
I have been a clinical therapist since I graduated MS in 2010, and received my Licensed Professional Counselor status in 2013 in Alaska (LPC 815). I am excited to be offering both clinical supervision for LPC licensure through the State of Alaska, and RPT status through Association for Play Therapy; additionally professional consultation services in Alaska. As a graduate of Colorado State University's Marriage and Family Therapy Program (bringing a strong clinical background to family systems), a registered play therapist, a certified TF-CBT therapist, and a trained expressive arts therapy therapist, I offer professional support to those who wish to offer an additional depth of processing or an alternative to traditional talk therapies to their clients.
I strive to make a strong connection with supervisees to make the relationship as rewarding as possible. In supervision, I provide concrete tools for helping clients, while challenging supervisees look at the situation systemically, ethically, and through a trauma-focused lens. I share my own materials as well as those I have accumulated through my own research and training.
One of the keys to a successful career as a clinician is clinical supervision. Clinical supervision is an important factor in your success. Your journey to becoming a licensed professional can seem overwhelming from making sure you understand all of the requirements for licensure to finding your ideal employment to obtain your clinical hours. The good thing is that you do not have to do this alone. I look forward to working with you!
